From the Principal
Welcome to Term 4. It was a marvelous feeling standing at the school gate on Monday morning greeting our excited and happy students as they finally returned to school. We look forward to welcoming back the students in Years 8 - 10 on 26 October and finally having our whole school community together again.
We were disappointed to have to cancel the scheduled school photos yet again. But the good news is that the school photographer will be able to use the photos taken at the start of the year to create class photos and individual student portraits. Information on how to purchase these photos on-line will be sent home soon.
Last week we were thrilled to receive the news that Senior School Art teacher Mrs Brittany Scott has delivered her baby boy. Baby Jagger George Noel Manga was born on Wednesday, 7 October 2020. Mum and baby are doing well and happily settling in at home with dad Ben and big brother Kingston.
The staff Chapel Service at the start of Term 4 focused on the importance of hope. The birth of a baby is an expression of hope for the future. The feeling of spring in the air, with its promise of regrowth, renewal and replenishment, also brings hope for a better future. As our children return to school, babies are born and Spring offers us its promise of sunshine, fertility and fruitfulness, we can begin to look to the future with some hope.
