World Teachers Day 25 October
It was wonderful to celebrate World Teachers Day with the teaching staff last Friday. Our students showed their appreciation of their teachers through a variety of messages, both written and verbal. It really is a pleasure to teach in a school with students who are respectful and appreciative of their teachers.
Car Park Reminders
If you pick your child up from the PAC carpark at the end of the day, please ensure you do not stop and wait in the right turning lanes. Parents parking in these turning lanes have caused bottle necks in the car park. If the front sections of the car park are full, please drive down to the end bays where there is usually plenty of parking.
Examinations
Our Year 12 students are well into their examinations. We wish them all the best during this important and stressful period. Year 11 exams run from 13 – 20 November and Year 7-10 exams run from 18 – 20 November
F-2 Athletics Day
After some unexpected early morning rain, we were unsure whether the F-2 Athletics carnival would go ahead. Fortunately, the sun came out in time for the children to enjoy a wonderful morning of friendly athletics competition. Thank you to Mr Batey for organising the events and to the F-2 teachers who made sure each child was involved. It was wonderful to see so many parents who were able to attend the cheer the children on. It was a wonderful day for everyone.
Year 3 Camp
The Year 3 students have had an exciting time at Forest Edge as they underwent their very first camp experience. Judging by the smiles on their faces when they returned, the children will be eagerly anticipating camps in the future. Thank you to all the staff who made this experience so enjoyable
Summer Concerts
The summer concert season has begun. Last Thursday we enjoyed an evening of beautiful music at the Senior School Summer Concert. A highlight of the evening were the performances by the Sayers String Ensemble and the Buttigieg Concert Band. We are looking forward to the Junior School Summer Concert on 21 November.
The Addams Family
It was with much excitement that the 2025 school production was finally announced. We are eagerly anticipating the Production of The Addams Family. Auditions are currently being held so students can learn their lines over the summer holidays. The 2025 production promises to be a lot of fun.
Senior School Student Leadership Team
Congratulations to the Senior School Student Leadership Team for 2025 who were formally presented at school assembly. They will take up their responsibilities immediately, ensuring a smooth transition from the 2024 to the 2025 leaders. I wish them all their best in their leadership journey over the next 12 months.

Change
Our Year 12 students have now had their valedictory celebrations and are into their critical examination period. They are about to enter a period of significant change, whether that is in further study, training or employment.
Our Years 7–11 students are also about to go into a period of examinations before early commencement. Our Junior School students are all nearing the end of the year with their present classmates and teachers, and our Year 6 students are shortly going to begin their transition into Senior School. Change is of course a part of life. It can be energising and exciting, or worrying. Most often, it is some mixture of the two.
Whilst change can be a time of challenge for many, these are also often the times in which we grow and learn the most. As parents, we can help our children face and thrive through periods of change by listening to their thoughts and emotions. This simple act of listening without rushing to try to solve or minimise, validates how they are feeling. The other thing we can do to help is express and demonstrate our unshakeable faith in their ability to cope with what is in front of them.
