From the Head of Senior School

SIS Sporting Success

We are thrilled to share some outstanding news regarding our school’s recent achievements in the SIS Swimming and SIS Athletics carnivals this year. Our students have truly excelled, bringing home the overall shields in both events — a remarkable feat that highlights the dedication, hard work and team spirit of our entire school community.

In the SIS Swimming carnival in April, our swimmers put on a phenomenal display of skill and endurance, securing top spots in multiple events. Their determination, perseverance and comradery were evident in every race, leading us to a well-deserved overall victory.

Similarly, our athletes shone brightly at the SIS Athletics carnival last Monday. Competing in a wide range of track and field events, they showcased not only their physical abilities but also their resilience and teamwork. Their combined efforts culminated in us winning the overall shield, marking a significant achievement in the history of Casey Grammar’s sporting accomplishments.

As a result of these exceptional performances, we are proud to announce that Casey Grammar will be participating in the SIS Division A carnivals for both swimming and athletics next year. This promotion to the top division is a clear recognition of our students’ talents and strengths. It is an exciting opportunity for our school to compete at an even higher level and continue to strive for excellence.

We would like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to all the students who participated in these events, as well as to our dedicated staff who have supported them every step of the way. The CGS community is incredibly proud.

Let’s continue to build on this success as we look forward to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in Division A. Go Casey Grammar!

Book Week

Great job, Senior School, on all the thought that was put into the colourful array of costumes for Book Week. Your creativity clearly brought the magic of books to life in our school. From classic characters to those who are easily recognised from the silver screen, your costumes showcased not only your love for reading, but also the joy of dressing up for all to see.

Thank you also to the staff for making Book Week such a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Class of 2023 Reunion

It was such a thrill for students and staff to be able to reconnect at the one-year reunion last Wednesday evening. No time was wasted catching up on all that has happened over the past 12 months. The night was filled with lively conversation, plenty of laughter and some reminiscing about the wonderful opportunities that students had during their time at CGS.

It is heartwarming to know the value that the alumni places on friendships formed during their school years, and the support they continue to provide to each other while navigating new pathways through adulthood.

We look forward to seeing you, and those who missed out this time, at the next reunion.
