Presenting Puffs
Our Senior School Play, Puffs, is just around the corner and our amazing student cast and crew from Years 8–12 are hard at work polishing their scenes and putting the final touches on what will be a highly entertaining and hilarious ‘re-telling’ of a very well-known story. Puffs is a parody of the Harry Potter series wherein we follow the same story over the same seven years featured in the book and film series, however, a different boy wizard house is our protagonist as it is about time his story was told!
Puffs is an award winning comedic play by Matt Cox that follows the character of Wayne Hopkins, a young boy who just found out that he is in fact a wizard (something his uncle forgot to mention) and that he will be enrolled in a ‘Certain School of Magic and Magic’ where he is immediately sorted into the ‘Puff’ house and finds support in his best friends, Oliver Rivers and Megan Jones and a very eccentric group of ‘Puff’ students.
The ‘Brave’ House is for the courageous students, the ‘Smart’ house is for the clever students, the ‘Snake’ house is for the very ambitious students, but what kind of student fits into the ‘Puff’ house? Come along and watch the misadventures of Wayne and the Puffs as they face trolls, big snakes, supervillains, wizard competitions, dragons, school dances, budding romances, soul-sucking security guards, questionable teachers and above everything else, the House Cup and their quest to come in third place! THIRD OR NOTHING!
Tickets are on sale now. Come along and support our talented students! Our show is only a few weeks away: Thursday 16 May, Friday 17 May and Saturday 18 May @ 7:00 pm.

Instrumental Soiree
Congratulations to all our fabulous performers that presented at the Instrumental Soiree hosted in the Performing Arts Centre on 23 April. Students from both Junior and Senior school across many of our instrumental studios performed to proud families and friends. Performance is a very valuable part of the journey to learning a musical instrument and all our young performers showed great courage to take the stage. Many thanks to the PFC and to Casey Grammar Staff for their support of the event.
Deacon from Year 5B had this to say:
Yesterday I performed at the Instrumental Ensemble concert, and I was one of the last performers. I played Z. My friend played first, and I cheered him on. When he came off, I thought he did really well and then it was my turn. I was ready to do it! In the middle of the song I missed one snare drum but the rest I didn’t mess up and my parents and I were really proud.
Our next Instrumental Soiree will be hosted in Semester 2 on Tuesday 27 August. We look forward to seeing you there!
