It has been a busy and productive end to the 2023 school year. Senior School students have spent a week in their new classes, meeting new teachers and beginning coursework in preparation for all that lies ahead in 2024. This week of Early Commencement has been an excellent way to get a taste of what to expect when school returns in January. There will be a staggered start on the following dates:
Year 7 students begin Term 1 on Monday 29 January.
VCE students also begin Term 1 on Monday 29 January.
Students in Years 8, 9 and 10 begin Term 1 on Tuesday 30 January.
It has been exciting to welcome new students to Casey Grammar, including the new Year 7 students who spent their Orientation Day with their new classmates. We have students from 23 different schools joining us in the new year.
For those leaving Casey Grammar, we wish you well in your journey ahead and thank you for your contributions throughout your time at Casey Grammar.
Student Leadership Team
Our 2024 student leaders gathered for a Leadership Forum to discuss their goals for the 2024 school year. We are looking forward to seeing them grow their leadership skills and as role models for students in all year levels.

At our Senior School Awards Evening last Wednesday, we were able to recognise the achievements of our Senior School students in the areas of academic achievement, outstanding effort and endeavour, leadership, extra-curricular activities and commitment to Casey Grammar.

Kwong Lee Dow Scholarship
I am very pleased to announce that Allie W (Year 10) has been accepted into the Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program at The University of Melbourne. This is a renowned program that is designed to support high achieving secondary school students and aims to give them a head-start on their future careers and studies. Allie is truly a worthy contender for this program!
VCE Special Provisions 2024
Casey Grammar follows the VCAA recommendation of initiating and supporting the Special Provisions that are likely to be approved, or have been approved, by VCAA for all school-based assessments. We will do this for VCE Units 1 to 4 for school-based assessments, and for Units 3 and 4 for external examinations and the GAT.
If you think you might be eligible for Special Provisions, please read the VCAA website:
https://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/ad...
It is very important to note that, even if you completed this process for 2023, you need to make a new application for 2024.
Happy Holidays!
I take this opportunity to wish you all a peaceful Christmas and a refreshing holiday. Best wishes for the New Year!
