A Very Busy Time of Year!
Week 8 of Term 4 is possibly the busiest week in the calendar this year! End-of-year exams are done and dusted, Year 11 students have headed out on an overnight Retreat to Portsea, on Friday our current Year 7 students will have a day off campus to celebrate the end of their first year of secondary school while we welcome our 2024 Year 7 students for Orientation Day, and we are preparing to start Week 9 for Early Commencement to the 2024 school year.
I would like to thank our dedicated teachers for writing and correcting exams, for preparing Early Commencement lessons, and for creating programs that are content-rich and inspiring. To add to this, we have been very fortunate to be able to view the magnificent artwork at the Casey Art, Design and Technology Exhibition, including performances by our talented musicians.
Remembrance Service
Our 2024 School Captains and Social Justice Captain gathered at the cenotaph in Greg Clydesdale Square on Remembrance Day. During the ceremony, we paused to acknowledge the sacrifice of those who served their country, and to lay a wreath in tribute to their service.
Sporting News
It has been exciting to observe the growth of such a talented soccer player throughout his time at Casey Grammar. We are delighted to learn that Akam S (Year 7) has been selected for the Melbourne City Under 14 NPL Academy team. In December, Akam will be a part of an international touring squad that will travel to England and France to play club, academy, school and representative teams.
Congratulations to Akam on this achievement and best wishes for the tour!
