Australian Music Examination Board Results

Last term, piano student Vrinda S (6S) received a Pass with Honours for her Preliminary Piano Exam, run by the Australian Music Examinations Board.

To achieve this result, Vrinda played three pieces to a high standard, demonstrated technical competency through the performance of scales and answered various questions about her music. Well done Vrinda!

Winter Concert

Following hot on the heels of our production of The Little Mermaid, the Performing Arts Department proudly hosted our annual Winter Concert on 22 June. The night was a fabulous showcase of the hard work that has been going on behind the scenes through Term 1 and Term 2 in the Junior and Senior Schools. Performers ranging from Year 2 all the way through to Year 12 shared the stage with our fabulous staff, presenting music from a range of styles and genres. Well done to students in our Keyboard Ensembles, Junior Percussion Ensemble, soloist Ela C, Jazz Band, Junior String Ensemble, Senior Vocal Ensemble, Year 5/6 Ensemble, Senior String Ensemble, Junior Concert Band, Senior Percussion Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble, Senior Concert Band, Show Choir, and our Year 3 cohort who opened the stage with their choir item and closed the performance showcasing their hard work as part of the Year 3 String Ensemble Program. Congratulations all on a fantastic performance.

A big thank you to all of the staff involved: our Ensemble Directors and conductors, our Stage Crew, our Technical Department, and our volunteer staff who assisted with ushering and backstage supervision. Finally, a very special thank you to Antoinette Seal for producing another fantastic concert event. We look forward to seeing everyone at our next concert.
