Another Successful Term!

As we come to the end of another successful term at Casey Grammar, I would like to congratulate all students, staff and families on their hard work and dedication in making our school community what it is today.

Road Reopening

Thank you for your patience during roadworks around our school. The installation of traffic lights at the end of New Holland drive is progressing well and we expect the road to re-open towards the end of September. So, by the start of Term 4, you should be able to access the school from Narre Warren – Cranbourne Road again.

Litter in Grounds

We are experiencing significant problems with rubbish left around the grounds. In order to keep our grounds looking beautiful, our maintenance team are spending many hours cleaning up litter each day. In addition to discarded packaging, they are collecting a large number of abandoned lunchboxes, drink bottles and forks. Metal forks left on the oval pose significant safety issues for students playing on the oval and the garden staff mowing the oval.

Strategies we have put in place to keep our school safe and looking clean include running anti-litter campaigns, encouraging students to use the bins provided, banning eating on the oval and introducing Nude Food lunchboxes.

Nude Food is food brought to school with no packaging. As the people who pack the lunchboxes, we are asking you to cut all packaging out of your child’s lunchbox. Please note that metal forks should not be brought to school. Please talk to your child at home about the importance of taking responsibility for their lunchboxes, returning them to their bags once they have finished eating, and ensuring rubbish is placed in the bins. We will echo this message at school.

Lunch Orders Term 4

A reminder that we will be adding an additional day for lunch orders commencing next term. From the start of Term 4, lunch orders will be available on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Summer Uniform

Next term students will return to their summer uniform. The holidays provide a great opportunity to check your child’s uniform still fits and to purchase new items. Below are the uniform shop opening hours. In September and October, the adjusted store hours will be as follows:

  • Monday and Wednesday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Tuesday / Thursday / Friday: 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
  • Saturday: 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Full trading hours will resume on 1 November 2023.

I highly recommend using the online store for ordering uniform items and the click and collect service. Uniform items can also be delivered to your home.

The Uniform Shop is located at 29 Hammersley Drive, Clyde North.

Happy Holidays

I wish you and your family a very restful and enjoyable break from school. We look forward to seeing you refreshed and ready for the challenges of Term 4 when school resumes on Tuesday 3 October.
