From the Head of Senior School
Recently I have had the pleasure of attending two evening functions, both of which reminded me of how proud I am to be a part of the Casey Grammar community.
Last weekend, I joined some of my colleagues at the Australian Educator Awards in Sydney, a ceremony that celebrated innovation, dedication and the invaluable contributions of schools and educators across the nation. Casey Grammar was well represented with Fiona Williams as finalist for the Principal of the Year – Non-Government, and Vanessa Hodgkiss for the Primary School Teacher of the Year – Non-Government. Whilst neither brought home the trophy, I am impressed by their passion and professionalism and feel honoured to work with so many inspirational colleagues.
The weekend prior, it was delightful to be able to witness a group of Casey Grammar Year 11 students at their Debutante Ball. These young adults presented themselves with poise and confidence, and their growth and achievements were acknowledged by the many friends and families who attended. No doubt these students will look back on this special event and remember the lasting memories that they have created and the friendships that they have formed. Special thanks to Southeast Presentation Events for allowing CGS to participate and for orchestrating such a beautiful occasion.
