Stable Start Program
In the upcoming school holidays, Racing Victoria is offering the Stable Start Program at Cranbourne Racecourse (Monday 25 September – Thursday 28 September). The Stable Start Program will enable young people to develop the basic skills, knowledge and confidence to commence employment in Victoria as a stable hand. The program also supports students to secure ongoing part-time or casual employment.
The racing industry is a big employer in the broader City of Casey area. The industry is actively seeking suitably qualified stable hands. Upon successful completion of this program, participants will receive a Certificate I in Racing (Stable Hand).
The Stable Start Program is five days in length, comprising a combination of theory work and practical experience. For more information, please speak to Ms Blythman.
