At Casey Grammar we are very proud of all staff and their achievements. Throughout the year, we will highlight a different staff member within each newsletter to introduce you to some members you perhaps haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet. This week, we had a chat with Louise Piva.
Name: Louise Piva
Position: Head of English
Qualifications: B.Ed and M.Ed.
When did you join Casey Grammar? In 2022.
What do you love most about your job and why? I love being with young people and seeing them grow and change throughout the year. I particularly like the moments when a student will discover they can understand something new or do something they didn’t think they could do.
Three words which best describe you are … red hair, witty (well, I think I am).
What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know? Growing up I wanted to be a mechanic and/or a race car driver. My mother said, “absolutely not!” She didn’t want to wash another pair of dirty overalls — my brothers were mechanics. I still love fast cars and there’s time for another career, I guess!
What’s one thing on your bucket list? To live and work in another country.
In one sentence, tell us what your included photo is about: My gorgeous dogs; the one on the left is Zoey and the other is Manny. They are my furbabies.
