Hamper of Hope Appeal
It was with great pleasure and pride that our Leaver House Captains, Marco and Skyla, could present Major Wright, a representative from The Salvation Army in Cranbourne, with our class hampers as part of the Hamper of Hope Appeal.
Leaver House were absolutely blown away by the generosity of every single class in our Junior School. On behalf of the twenty families in our local community that are going to have a fabulous Christmas this year, we thank you!
House Soccer Tournament — Only One Point In It
Last week, the Junior School held its annual House Soccer Tournament. Students share their reflections below.
“Everyone dressed in house colours, ready to play soccer and cheer on their teams. We also posed for group pictures while nervously watching the game.
The games were Trist vs Booth and Leaver vs Reid. Both games were lots of fun!
The first game went well, with Trist being defeated by one goal. Knowing that we had qualified to the final match between Reid made us proud of the team. Despite our team losing by one point, we cheered for them during the short and intense game.” Johanna, Booth House Captain
“The house soccer tournament was interesting. Surprised with our victory in the first game, we went in hoping to win. However, Booth lost 1–0 to Reid. We were proud of our performance.” Ollie, Booth House Captain
“For the first half we were doing really well not letting Booth score any goals. Later in the match the Booth kids scored a goal and we lost by 2–1. At the end we really enjoyed playing in the soccer match. We really enjoyed seeing all the Trist students having fun in the crowd. The Trist vs Booth soccer tournament was very enjoyable and fun. Although we had lost, we really loved participating in the soccer match.” Irushi, Trist House Captain
“The soccer tournament was the best house tournament this year. Even though we lost by 1 point, I think everyone had a great time. Irushi and I were proud of how everyone played. It was a close game with the scores 2–1. All the teams played very well.” Mason, Trist House Captain
“The soccer tournament this year was lots of fun. Leaver was really hoping to win but we had a great time anyway. All the teams played very well.” Marco, Leaver House Captain
“Jeremy and I were very happy to make our teams and involve ourselves in the tournament. Not only that, but seeing everyone in the house showing their spirit by passing to each other was really nice to see. Even though Reid won, everyone still congratulated all of the other houses, so I was glad to see that. Good job Reid, I’m very proud!” Chrissy, Reid House Captain
