Drama Excursion Excellence
On Monday, 28 March the Year 11 Theatre Studies and Year 12 Drama classes ventured into the city to view the Top Class VCAA Season of Excellence showcases.
This was an opportunity for students to view the top performing Theatre Studies and Drama students and to gauge the quality and calibre of solo performances required for the end of year VCAA examinations.
The day was incredibly motivating as the individual performances were varied. They were comedic and dramatic, interpretive and symbolic, historically relevant and progressive. It really gave the students something to strive for in their own studies.

SIS Big Night
The annual SIS Big Night performance was held on Tuesday, 5 April at Drum Theatre in Dandenong. The concert is an annual event that features performances from SIS member schools and some collaborative performance ensembles from a mix of schools.
Our students were amazing. Throughout the rehearsal process they have been excellent role models and ambassadors for the school. They have worked hard in preparing their material, and have collaborated with students from other schools. They were also very helpful with managing instruments and gear and performed to a very high standard.
Students who performed in the SIS Orchestra and who did an excellent job in preparing two very challenging pieces of music were: Elliott H, Alice H, Allysha W, Ela C, Scarlet M, Brianna M, Rahul H, Owen T and Tara F.
Students who represented Casey Grammar School in our Senior Vocal Ensemble were excellent and were: Sophie A, Andreea G and Aaliyah T.
It couldn’t really have been an event without COVID playing a part. These three students did the hard work but were unable to be part of the performance due to COVID or isolation requirements: Edward K, Cameron C and Addison W.
I’m very proud of all our student’s work.
