Exploring Career Options
Whether you are in Year 12 or Year 8, it is never too early to start exploring career/course options.
We are fast approaching the time of the year when tertiary providers are opening their doors - physically and virtually - to welcome prospective students and their parents and guardians to visit their campuses. Open Days provide the perfect opportunity for Secondary School students to assess their future educational options and to ask questions about particular courses and Higher Education and TAFE providers.
Tertiary providers have adapted the delivery of their programs to meet the ever-changing needs of Victorian students, including the facilitation of Virtual Open Days. Virtual Open Days allow attendees to participate in online campus tours, Q&A sessions and information sessions.
While nothing can beat the opportunity to walk around a campus – the benefit of a virtual tour is that it may prevent that ‘overwhelmed’ feeling and students can be more targeted in terms of the information they access. All students can attend Open Days and I would strongly encourage them to take advantage of the great opportunities that the different tertiary providers are offering.
For Open Day dates, please visit the Casey Grammar Careers Page (for Australian wide Open Day events) or the VTAC website (Victorian Open Days).
